mandragora:
hrm... compared to your favourite movies you have listed, you might laugh at these...

when i miss my dad: "the father of the bride"
comedy: "pootie tang" or "office space"
retro: "back to the future" or "indiana jones and the temple of doom"
scary: "hostel"
cheesy chick flick: "keeping the faith", "my best friend's wedding" or "the truth about cats and dogs"
action: "the fifth element"

narnia is really good if you want a G rated film. V for Vendetta rocked my socks, and i just saw Rendezvous (a 10 minute ferrari ride from the 70s cult flick) last night.

see.. told ya they were all gonna be 'blah'. biggrin
lotusmonger:
Empire Of The Sun. Red Dawn.

and if you can find a copy of Rubin And Ed get it... it stars Crispin Glover and Howard Hesseman. It's awesome.
sailordrunk:
The last two movies I saw were on Bravo.
The Beach and Apocalypse Now Redux. I've not seen the The Beach before because of DiCaprio, but it turned out to be a decent movie, a dreamy paradise, and how human nature ruins it. The later is on my top ten. I love the added French plantation scene. Dreamy. smile
kenyon:
that's right, don't stop . . .

How 'bout an old foreign film? Seven Samurai is totally overacted but a great film, with really cool music.
