figmentation:
hugs for your friend...
and I liek your nighty.
mattscope:
I love the third pic.... so intriguing... a part of me wishes the photography was taken from the other side wink

I'll definately keep you posted about the project

good luck with the apartment hunting
aspasia:
Interesting photos, what is the project that she's working on?

(I'm sorry to hear about your friend. I wish we could all just GET BETTER already. Sigh.)
wheezy_e:
ugg, I'm sorry for your friend, but I am glad you are still doing well.
It's often said by ex-drunks like myself that "Nobody held me down and poured alcohol down my throat" My usual reply is "Well, there were times when I was just too drunk to do it myself..."
anaxarete:
thanks for posting the photos.

i dont know if its because you said you looked dead in the first one but i am reminded of the Lizzie Borden story.

i'm sorry about your friend. just keep cycling through those feelings.
i think thats the only way through - feel all those feelings.
good luck
zode:
Wow those images are captivating
lotusmonger:
That's not Hall and Oates! That's Dire Straits' Money For Nothing with Sting singing backup vocals and the video was early computer animation!
Haunting New England photo's. Kinda reminds me of spirit photo's from the turn of last century and Katie King/Florence Cook feel with cheese clothe ectoplasm.
It's odd being 'healthy' when someone close is ill. You feel guilty for feeling better sometimes.
acidevangelist:
Well, just so you know: I'm available if needed. smile

My thoughts are with you regarding your friend.
love kiss
zcxzcxzcxzcxzxcz:
Obviously a blowjob has that pyrotechnic display that a good-lickin' doesn't but I'm sure that it's that inner feeling is what counts.
[ I've just git back from an opening night of a show at our studio and I surprise myself that I can Actually touch my keyboard (what you read has been edited many times)] But here's to you my fascinating angel.
(Thinking of your friend even though I don't know er)
zcxzcxzcxzcxzxcz:
Your pictures ar great! Obviously when you said they were arty I thought that they were were going to be "Arty", but Hey that first one is tremendous, although you kind of stay anonymous thoughout. Great photos! The middle one has a certain somethig...let me talk about when I'm sober!

Here's to you again

<3 [is that how you do it? (ahh new communicatin!)]
zcxzcxzcxzcxzxcz:
With reference to my leanings....I guess it is my Libran qualitys that allows me to see the good in all.....maybe it is just that I want everything? No not everything , just a selected everything.

everything is currency.....
you just have to be in the right country
zcxzcxzcxzcxzxcz:
love love love
zcxzcxzcxzcxzxcz:
Drunken revelry is what I do best!
Although what your friend is going through is sort of sobering (Thoughts are still with her)

Still, it is a pleasure to communicate with you.

Thanks for the comments. The last image is fantastic but it was not down to me as it was a picture from a magazine that excited me, so I photographed it. I like the idea of photographing photographs. I'm not sure what that makes me (I suppose a plagarist) but I'm really into collage and readymades and found objects so it infiltrates my photography. I guess it infringes copyright to a large extent but I like to think (however lame an argument it may be) that by photographing a photograph you make it somewhat your own. Ownership is a tricky subject. If you hear a three minute pop song at a crucial part of your life, you absorb it with that moment in time. So who owns it? The person who wrote it. The person who sung on it. Or you as a listener who it has affected immutably?

I have a unshakable faith in the power of
popular culture.
Everything I know I've learnt from films and songs.
Does that mean I'm a clich?

So what happens if you photograph a building? Does an architecht own copyright on his buildings image? What about the builders?

Can you copyright your own DNA in case someone illeagally clones you?

Phew toooo many questions! Give me a glass of wine.

smile
tigerlily:
oh wow. i'm so sorry about your friend. i just spent the weekend with my best friend of 17 years, and on the way home, i was thinking i just wouldn't know what to do if i lost her. i hope you're ok.

zcxzcxzcxzcxzxcz:

copillia:

Fuck them fuckin' fuckers, I'm broke and that shit ought to be free anyhow!
wheezy_e:
What's up? I like the photos, the first one is sweet & the other two are unsettling in the good way. I'm still kinda getting settled into my new computer, loading things and whatnot. I had over a hundred emails waiting. I watched The Big Sleep (Bogart & Bacal) last night which was awesome, but required a piece of nicotine gum halfway through as everyone smoking flips on that switch in my brain. (everybody drinking scotch like it's water just makes me laugh hysterically) .
twinkie:
I love the covered face one!!!! Chilling!
I feel so drained of anything witty and funny tonight. FILL ME UP!
zcxzcxzcxzcxzxcz:
You can't fool me , you are definately not like everyone else.! Lying is all part of the game, everyone lies to other people, everyone lies to themselves, everyone plays the game.

I think lofty ideals are good (as long as you realize you can't achieve them!) as they make you strive for more. Not more for the sake of more itself, but because you desire it (discuss(?)) Desire is the key. It reduces things to the essential.
Intelligence is strange concept also, it is something more than just what you know, it is how you process it, how you utilize it. I don't even (even ?!!) have what you would call a college education (I left school at 16 to dabble at art school only to be fucked off with all that baloney)
I'm not sure what I'm trying to say now but I think it is something like:- things are more than what you are told they are. All these kids that do media studies 'n'shit!!! Do you need to be told how to watch TV? (sorry to anyone doing Media Sudies, but hey!)

Anyway, the point I'm trying to make is I think you "process" very well! love
zcxzcxzcxzcxzxcz:
Oh yeah, looks like someone's going to be celebrating (or commiserating) at the weekend! And you don't even have a wish list!
dekews:
frown I hope your friend gets her liver and is singing along with you in no time.
twinkie:
I can't wait to turn 30. It'll be hilarious. We look awesome. Everyone will wonder how we do it.
twinkie:
and I'll say, "It's the ham."
