Interpol last night = awesome.
It was rainy. Cold. Cloudy and dismal. However, the drive to Columbus with my dad, Shannon, and Jessica was sunny. My dad was acting like a complete goofball and we shared a lot of laughs. We managed to find an awesome radio station and we listened to it on the way there (and back). They only played cover songs. So we heard a ton of great covers by Deftones, Pete Yorn, Smashing Pumpkins, Phish, and others.
When we got there, we found our teacher friend and she hung out with my dad and Shannon while Jessica and I tried to find a good place to stand. We ended up settling on a nice spot on the balcony. The concert was at the Newport in Columbus, and I don't know if any of you have been there before or not, but I absolutely love the look and feel of that building. It's the perfect place for a show.
The opening bands, Hail Social and the Secret Machines, were absolutely amazing!
I am now immense fans of both. After the concert I bought some Hail Social pins and the lead guitarist to the band took my money. He was so sweet. I love meeting musicians. I admire them so much.
Interpol did not disappoint. They played a ton of songs from the new album but did not leave out my favorites from the first. Jessica and I squealed when they played the first notes of "NYC." That's "our song" and we became emotional. There were lots of pretty flashing strobe lights to satisfy the visual component of the show. And I took some pictures that I am EXTREMELY pleased with, even though they are not exactly grade A quality. I was on the balcony so I had distance and lighting against me. The colorful bright lights also made it very difficult to capture decent pictures. But I think they give off just an awesome eerie/magnetic vibe. What do you think?

I haven't really done much today. I had a hard time sleeping last night which was odd considering I came home late from the concert and was beat tired. I got up around ten, grabbed a bowl of cereal, and watched about two hours of CSPAN including the debate from last Wednesday, Meet the Press, and this thing where Catholic college students commented on the debate. After awhile I decided to do my Algebra 2 homework. Then I got on here and editted the pictures from last night... got dressed and called Jessica and went to the park with Shannon to record some more footage for our music video... came home and ate dinner, which my mom burnt... watched what we had recorded... got back on here... and here I sit typing this. Jessica was going to come over to work on the video some more but she's tired so she decided against it. Ho hum.
I can go from being insanely happy to insanely unhappy in an instant.
It happens when I talk to certain people I know.
Someone used MY referral link on my Trent Reznor site to sign up for this site! When I got on here this morning I saw that I had 100 more Army points than I did the day before! I was so excited!
At least I think it was through my Trent site. I have the link in other places, but those places aren't visited very often. I wish I could find out who used my referral link and personally thank them.
This post is long. Aren't all my posts?
I need more long-sleeved shirts and sweaters. I'm cold.
