Hello all who find this post.
Today I write for a very important cause,
I have recently been contacted by Ming Cheng, brother of the original bassist for the Deftones, Chi Cheng.
Ming has reached out to me and asked if I could help with this awesome soul.
Chi was in an accident a little over four years ago that left him in a coma.
Recently he has come out of that coma and has been making good progress.
The reason I am writing today is because Chi and his family need our support in promoting awareness and helping to cover medical and living expenses.
If you want to help immediately, you can go to his family's website, http://oneloveforchi.com
you can donate or just send up some love, either way, it is very important that we get Chi back into the mix of sharing the joy with us all.
If it weren't for his selfless soul, I would have given up on music a long time ago..
He heard me playing my Native American flute outside of a Deftones concert in the parking lot.
It was a sold out concert so I couldn't buy a ticket to get in..
After the concert, he and the band were walking back to their transportation and he walked over and grabbed my arm, not in a way of violence.. but a way of grabbing my attention so he could give me respect.
What kind of superstar does that? CHI CHENG, THAT IS WHO!
I was homeless at the time, so you can imagine how inspirational this moment has been to me.
I ask at the very least that you keep this worthy soul in your hearts and on your minds.
His family needs us..
HE NEEDS US..
I will be promoting benefit events from Birmingham, Alabama all the way across back home to Joshua Tree, California.
If you are interested in helping or want to have an event in your area, please write me here or at kelcb@yahoo.com
This is not a scam, this is very serious.
I adore you all, FREE SOULS UNITE...
LET'S GIVE CHI RESPECT...
MUCH LOVE...
