I was bullied badly as a kid. I was usually the smallest kid in class, and we moved several times, which always made me the outsider to the cliques that had formed for years.
Recently I read a story from a parent who had no idea her son was being bullied, until she got a call from the school. Her son snapped and beat two girls so badly they needed stitches in their faces. Both girl's parents were calling the boy's parents screaming about what a monster the boy is. Apparently this had been going on a long time, he'd even brought it up to teachers and nothing was done about it. It was amazing the sheer number of responses that mirrored mine: 1) both of those girls got what they deserved; 2) the boy needs therapy because it is going to take years to heal his scars. All those responders were victims themselves.
Fuck the MPAA for giving this an R rating. The MPAA is so arbitrary about how they rate R and PG-13 movies.
i was the bullied, and i will never forget it, and will never forgive it.
