Yeah uh... about that... our wedding isn't until June 30th 2012..

I'm just crazy, controlling, obsessive. biggrin

The place we picked is the first one we looked at and its perfect for us.
Picking my dress, veil, shoes was easy.

And I have most of the decorations/ table settings figured out too.
Food, cake and drinks are decided.
I also have written a good portion of our wedding ceremony, have all our music picked, made a wedding website (still in progress), and as of today have picked out all our save the dates, invites etc.

Really, having the wedding site pinned down has made everything else fall into place quite easily. It sort of dictated the mood and colors of the wedding.

I also plan on doing um basically all of it DIY so getting an early start has been important.

Yeah, that is a bit difficult. I don't know what your budget is but hiring someone will be expensive, yeah?
It seems like finding a place that is fairly all inclusive would be best for you guys. So you don't have to worry about all the rentals and they just tailor it to your guest list and whatever colors you want.

We really cant afford a big wedding. We're renting a vacation house that has a really big enclosed patio for the reception and were having the ceremony on the lawn. Theres lavender and pastures and hills etc. for our backdrop. We're catering ourselves and i've figured that buying all the linens and dishes etc is a better deal then renting because after wards I can resell them and get back at least half and i'll end up paying less than what it costs to rent.

BUT... we're only having 35 people at our wedding. It's family only because a) thats what we can afford and b) our families have never met and will likely not see each other much after the wedding either

However, its likely that we will also do another informal wedding reception in Jays hometown with all our friends.

Hopefully, not including rings, we can stay at about $3000 (with a small amount of help from jays family). And this should allow us to be debt free by the end of the wedding.
