Hurricane Sandy update time!
my house:
gutter is hanging off of the side of my house.
no power.
no major damage.
everyone is fine.
my parents' house:
shingles are all over the back yard and sides of the house from their roof.
power is on but no cable.
everyone is fine.
surrounding areas:
i can see what is now "Lake Moonachie" from my bedroom window at home.
trees are down all over the place.
tons of people still without power (including my place).
being told: "power may be out until November 5th."
power lines are down all over as well.
