section3:
thats too bad...
I'm feeling the school thing, just now going to bed. fuck!
I feel like I'm losing it... I don't know days from nights, at least I didn't have to weave a basket today though wink
I leave in about two weeks, so pretty soon.
tygertyger:
I've never had a good relationship with an ex. I don't know if it's possible.

And the forst Matrix flick was decent, I thought (apart frmo the whole idea of machine susing humans as a power source... jeez), but the sequels were baaaaad.

Good luck with the school thing. That's the one thing I like about working instead - April is not hell. wink
jesusonline:

aya:
Ex boyfriends suck.
scatmonkey:
I have a pretty good relationship with ex's. Civil, but mostly non-existent. Distant but "we keep in touch".

It took years to get to that point. I loathed them for years.

The Matrix and it's sequels are such a mismatch of philosophies and religious iconography, some obvious, some not, that, at times, the "plot" gets buried under some rather unsubtle attempts at shoving some intellectualism in.

I still liked them though, and "Reloaded" actually doesn't completely suck when watched back-to-back with "Revolutions".

Sorry about school and your ex though.
tygertyger:
No, not yet. Soon, perhaps. And it's been ages since I did my last showfil. was pretty bad. It's just as well you didn't hear, or you'd think I was a huge dork and never wanna meet me. tongue

And yeah, Revolutions licked ass.
hellynn:
haha i was going to write ex boyfriends sucks but then realized Aya wrote the same thing so Ill write something else.
hmmmm uhhhhh
ex boyfriends suck bigtime kiss
scatmonkey:
It took me years to be civil. With one, we were at each others throats for the better part of six months after we broke up. Hurt feelings have odd ways of manifesting themselves. Sometimes the confusion over how we feel come out in the most moronic ways.

Regarding bad mouthing: I was guilty of that. I'm not proud of it. Frankly, I'm ashamed of the way I behaved. No amount of apologizing could ever make up for it. One of my exs says she doesn't begrudge me for my actions; it was, after all, the better part of a decade ago, but I still haven't forgiven myself for my behaviour. Another, well, she did such a fine share of bad mouthing me, that we called it even and decided that what was passed is passed and we should leave it there. It's possible that in time, he may end up feeling the same way.

The only thing that ever, ever worked for me is distance. Zero contact. It's not as easy as it sounds but it was the only way I could ever have gotten over it. Looking back, even having discussed it with a couple of exs, the ways we behaved after our break-ups was laughable.

You know, "tragedy plus time equals comedy".

----

I would like to watch all of the Matrix films from beginning to end. Just to see if I actually like it or if I'm staking far too much into the passing philosophical references than they deserve. The problem is I can never tell if I really like the movies, or if I my enjoyment of them is based solely on watching them on my home-theatre system thingy. I ? my home-theatre.

That's not always true. The Star Wars Prequels still licked arse no matter how good it sounded or looked.

----

I can see it now: Come one, come all! Come see chubby sub-urban men wrassle in mud! See them huff-and-puff over the first physical exertion they've managed in years! See man-tits so large you'll be placing side-bets on cup sizes!

...man, that was an ugly mental image...

----

Whoops, that was like an epic length response.

EDIT: pselling

You know...some say the Matrix is good for critical thinking and philosophical ideas.

I say it is just some story they put together in 15 minutes to go along with a bunch of pretty special effects. Especially the second and the third one.
