i know how that is without a doubt. Your life is objectively good, certianly more fortunate than many, yet you still get depressed. I am in the same boat often. I think it comes from understanding the potential of beauty and majesty in yourself and humankind in general and realizing that we are collectively missing the mark right now. Not to mention that its fucking hard being an artist in a culture that does not value its arts and would rather buy new SUV's for CEO's and have you have to work day jobs so you can pay rent and perhaps have health insurance rather than subsidise the arts so artists don't have to drain their energies with day labor....

Or maybe I'm just projecting.

I hate when I get like that.

i get depressed all the time. etc... but then when i really think about it, i'm actually happy. and life is quite good. i'm very fortunate. cuz i always say to myself "it could be worse."
