Well, I have one week left on the free month of this site that I won, and it's been very interesting. Lots of fun! Very personable models, lovely pictures, and just generally a friendly atmosphere.
So, I've been making a list of all the models I'd want to follow on this site since . . . I honestly think since the inception of this site. So I went through and am almost done following them. On my journey I feel like I've sort of glimpsed the history of this place in a small span of time. Some models who have existed on here for years and love the place, some who disappear without a trace, some who come back and note that they want to do more, then . . . nothing. A few who, sadly, have passed away. Some who have departed for how the site is run (all of these models have the same complaints and it seems to stretch back at least to 2008, so apparently the issues are hard ingrained with the way this place operates).
It's kind of amazing to see all this history condensed down to less than a month worth of time. It certainly lets me know quite a few things. Some I already knew, like that life gets in the way in unexpected ways. That people die. That folks just move on, without warning. I've also learned things about the site in specific; that all the models seem to more or less support each other in large swaths, which is awesome! That the site as a business doesn't exactly support anyone as much as it profits from any of the models the staff likes. And that there are various issues seen by many of the models and members on the site, but that there's been very little to try and address those issues.
That doesn't mean I don't like the site, it's just fact. It's what's been said by people, and is all able to be seen.
Will this stop me from actually paying for the site once my week is up? Yes and no. I'll wait until there's some sale on membership, most likely, and won't be back until then. Might signing back up at full price provide money that could go to upgrading the site or addressing any of the issues I've seen raised by others? Yes and no. If they wanted to do that they'd have done it by now, so sale price is the most logical price.
But I will be back, not for the company/site, but for the people on it. You're good folks, members and models. If you're an official model, or Hopeful, or Member, you're good folks. You're awesome. And you're why this aroace will come back. Not because this place has nudity (though the nudity is a plus!) but because the people here make me think there's a reasonable price to pay to come chat and participate with you all, and hit that heart button and comment on your sets in the vain hope you get the recognition you all deserve.
(If you didn't catch it, since it's one week until my membership runs out, my mind instantly went to "One Week" by the Barenaked Ladies. I am HILARIOUS. To myself if no one else.)
