10. Who would've thought 10 years ago that Affleck would not only go 3-0 (directing wise) but would be one of the best new directors to come along in years? Not me.
9. I KNOW hardly anyone reading this knows about this movie. That's ok...but understand, if you like dark comedies: THIS WILL BE THE BEST BLIND BUY YOU MAKE IN AGES. The less I say about it, the better.

One of the best directors to come from the outback since Peter Weir + Tom Hardy being the usual badass that he is + Jessica Chastain and Gary Oldman classing up the place + Guy Pierce giving one of the creepiest performances this year + LaBeouf not being LaDouche = A DAMN GOOD and criminally underrated movie, IMO.
7. From the director of American History X; Bitter, yet insightful film about the shit inner-city teachers go through everyday and the students they try to reach that fall through the cracks. Adrien Brody's best work since The Pianist, easily.
6. Grim, nasty, and fucking hillarious at times. McConaughey is on a helluva run right now.
5. DO NOT be thrown off by the bad image design on the cover of the DVD; THIS IS ONE OF THE FUNNIEST MOVIES OF 2012. Don't believe me?

3. It's official: QT only does epics. He may not come right out and say it, but I love the man all for it. I mean really, no director understands and appreciates the revenge tale/film like Tarantino has over the past 9 years. And I can't tell you guys how happy I was to FINALLY see a movie worthy of having a Tupac song. Top notch all around, didn't even mind that it was 3 hours...didn't want it to end, really.

1. David O. Russell has done it again. This movie really has it all for me: Jennifer Lawrence, Jennifer Lawrence's curves (in all seriousness, she's outstanding in it), Bradley Cooper FINALLY not playing an asshole, the return of Chris Tucker, and Robert DeNiro's best work in at least 10 years. Great follow-up to The Fighter.
