You should join the SGVegas group. It's probably the least active group around but every once in a while somebody tries to get something rollin. Maybe your gig at the cooler will be a good place to meet a few.
"Since flying anywhere takes too long these days, I'd have to say an obscene amount of drugs, booze, sex, and fast driving" Right on!!!!
Totally love your group. Glad you made it. Having fun in there finally people who know who the hell the bands are i'm talking about is refreshing..
i have a firebird. i guy in richmond (tommy rodriguez) built it for me in "91.
gwar played vegas last nite. 1 of my friends from vegas called me from the show at 1:30 am (EST) to tell me about it, and he put brockie on the phone. i don't tour w/ them anymore, but maybe i'll run into you when my new band comes to town.
Brilliant work on the group! I already feel like a slacker for not commenting on every thread but it's just hard to keep up. Perhaps if it rains on the weekend...
Congrats. If/when I make it to Vegas, I think the first case is on me...
thanks so much for your compliment. i am so glad that your group is a success. I am even gladder that i am involved in it. Hopefully i'm able to continue holding my own against you old timers.
As for the Rockaround, i'm almost positive i can make it. i just need to find out when the summer break ends at my university. I'm looking forward to it. BTW were you at the last one?
Hey, Pablo Schwartz's band the Western Bone Cleavers is playing at the double down next friday 14th. He was the bass player in MIA and the panty sheilds and in a whole bunch of local bands.
edited because I'm retarded and the 21st stuck in my head because thats when you play. It's next friday 14th.
dude.. such a small world.. (i won't name any names) but I konw the bass player from Junior Achievment. I went to Mad Gardens, Cauldron, .. all those other places too... so weird. Dude. Zanny Guys, Nova Boys.. brings back so many memories.. Remember Grant and the Geezers or like Sun City Girls.. lol ..
dude.. i gots ta go to sleep now.. but.. Yeah.. I remember Dave Nash.. he was at every friggin show... he was always cool to me though. I have known TJ for Years.. a lot of the old cats still hang at TT Roadhouse, so I stop in when I'm in Town.
Nice to find someone from back then.. It doesn't happen to often anymore.
And the feeling is mutual my friend...our sentiments mirror your own in many ways...especially concerning the music genre (or lack therof)...some days it really is just an age thing....cheers to you!
You're swell...
( is that ass kissing enough?)
Please do me the honor of visiting my brother Calculon3000 - he goes on tour every summer with this other band beret! and his band's URL is on his profile...I feel you may appreciate...seeing as he has been raised by this aging anonymous punk chica...
AND you're a john waters fan!
i'm seeing him do his performance art deal tonight and then meeting him at the after-party. i'm going to piss myself.
but now it's back to work. say hi and tell me how jealous you are.
