This week a new guy started at work. He's from china and has been in the united states for eight years and is doing his masters at usc. He seems like a nice enough guy, a little strange but he doesn't seem to bother me that much. I could tell he wasn't particularly fond of the music I played while working. Lately it's been kidneythieves, godhead, static x, distillers, pj harvey and gnr. So being the nice guy i am, i thought i should ask him what type of music he likes to listen to.
His answer, and I shudder just thinking about it now, - "country and some pop music, as long as it's popular enough". Country isn't my thing but I could understand that. But the thing I couldn't get my mind around was the "pop music, as long as it's popular enough", it just baffles me.


My week continues to suck. Looking forward to tomorrow night, maybe it's get me out of this funk i'm in.
