Congratulations! Man, it would be so nice to have three weeks of vacation. Although, I have to say that it's pretty cool that my boss is closing down shop for the week of Christmas, so I can't complain too much.

The twice baked taters rocked. Two dinners in one day though...it's all about pacing.
spunsugar:
heheh yeah I was debating the boobies, and at the last minute decided against. theres always next time, lol. confused
zode:
Nice Snow Days are the Best especially when they prevent you from getting up at 4:30!!! I absolutely LOVE Sleeping inespecially if someone special is also involved

Thanksgiving was typical, Friends Family several Fabulous Mealsdo you have a holiday similar in Canada???

Are you studying for a particular profession???
boogalooshrimp:
Good for you. Make sure you do lots of fun stuff for me too.
shellymc:
just a friends anniversary party on sunday..
how bout you?
anything exciting this upcoming weekend?
surlymike:
I'm honoured to comment immediately after ShellyMC. She's nothing short of excellent, you know.

Yes, snow. I'm a bit torn about the white stuff. Kind of reminds of what I left behind in Maine, but, then, as long as I don't need to take motorised transportation anywhere, it's not so bad. Of course, the icy sidewalks aren't my favourite. blackeyed

If you could send that recipe onwards, I'd be eternally grateful to you.

kiss

biggrin
dreu:
I've missed you too! I've been trying to figure out what topic to hit you up with next so we can get into one of our deep (if not confusing) conversations. Let me know if you think of a good one.

Congrats on the finals and your grades. I knew all along that you would do great wink

Ironically we are getting snow too. That's a pretty big front. This is supposed to be the biggest we have gotten in 10 years.

-Dreu

surlymike:
By the way, congrats on passing all the finals!
holagatita:
Hi, thank you for the recipe that you sent to SurlyMike, it sounds great, and coincidentally I've had a jar of black bean sauce in my cupboard forever, waiting for me to figure out what to do with it!! Yay!
kwizzle:
Nudie photos? For you, of COURSE!!!

kiss
shellymc:
laundry!
it never ends does it?

the party is a five year anniversary shindig that a friend of mine is having.
then maybe soon i'll start christmas shopping biggrin

try and relax a bit this weekend kiss
ra0ul:
i've kept those bad boys under lock and key, i fear that to a certain type of girl it'll be like catnip and to the rest of the world female population kryptonite. You just gotta read the situation and girl right and for the moment i think my radar is a little cold.

I've tried that stuff before, it didn't really work on me. I already have the most vivid of dreams, this week particiualirly (ie. have to give Napaleon Dynamite a confidence talk after he failed his exams... weird i know)

Quantity is still important to me (given i'm a borderline sex addict) but quantity with a quality indivdual is the future for ra0ul.
shellymc:
so i read the review of that film..
it sounds interesting but pretty onesided huh?
and i'm doing my laundry now blush

i'm off to a late start
shellymc:
hopefully now a days, folks would know better,
but back then..i'm sure that was considered kind of credible,
and that is pretty sad!
from the late 60's all the way up to the early to mid 80's, the sex industry got a bad rap from all these hardcore feminists whose view about anything sexual was pretty grim.
I think people like Camille Paglia helped kind of change that biggrin
surlymike:
And, now, the word of the day...biggrin

Main Entry: practicum
Pronunciation: 'prak-ti-k&m
Function: noun
Etymology: German Praktikum, from Late Latin practicum, neuter of practicus practical
: a course of study designed especially for the preparation of teachers and clinicians that involves the supervised practical application of previously studied theory.

To intrude on what ShellyMC said: sex-positive feminists like Susie Bright and Annie Sprinkle are, to me, even better than Paglia. They don't seem quite as enamoured with seeing their names in print as Camille does. kiss
holagatita:
oh I would LOVE a yummy vegan holiday rice stuffing recipe!! biggrin
Thank you!! Can I repay you somehow? Would you like a really easy yummy potato leek soup recipe? How about sweet potato coconut peanut butter curry? Banana bread? smile

I don't get the popularity of sun-dried tomatoes either, but for some reason they always *sound* good to me, even though the taste usually lets me down.

shellymc:
Camille Paglia was a feminist that was pro sex industry and even adored strippers...
but SurlyMike has a point,
she was kind of a publicity whore, and certainly not involved in the industry like Susie or Annie Sprinkle.
Still... she had some really interesting books and viewpoints on modern feminism
shellymc:
be forewarned if you try and read her books...
she's interesting but a little long winded (kind of like, look at how wonderful my vocabulary is...)

yeah.. Free time.. what the hell is that anyway?
shellymc:
not that i dont think you would grasp it!
sorry that came out wrong (my previous comment)
its just that she goes on and on and on about certain subjects when she's already made her point whatever
shellymc:
i have to go to my works annual christmas party...
even though i dont really feel up for it.
But its free food and booze,
so i should be okay tongue

how about you?
shellymc:
Have fun...
hope your friend is okay though kiss
ra0ul:
my dreams do get pretty screwy. I think it cause there is only a short amount of dream time avaiable with my insomnia that it needs to rush everythig in. I'm currently in hour forty-three of my being awake thing and it's driving me nuts, ican focus or do anything but think about sleep. Hopefully i'll fit in a dream or two later.
surlymike:
Here is Susie Bright's FAQ. I once had a book she signed for me (though I wasn't present when she signed it), but I let someone borrow it and it never returned. frown And here is Annie Sprinkle's homepage. Yes, I was too lazy to actually describe each of them. Thank the fates for hyperlinks!

We'll be going to Akumal, a small town over an hour's drive from Cancn on the Riviera Maya, for about 5 days. You're welcome to come and ditch the practicum! biggrin

How *is* the practicum going? Do you still enjoy saying "cum"? wink
ra0ul:
congrats on the exams. all good in the hood - as they say
dreu:
Glad the exams went well. When does the next round of classes start?
