i am at a standstill
yeh the hamster has hopped off the treadmill
there is no power being generated, no juices flowing
creatively anyway
how do they do it anyway? stay on the damn things with those spoke thingys or steps or whatever you call them - you don't know at what speed to take it. you could get on thinking oh i'm in complete control here
you try and get your footing on the steps, ease into it
and get catapulted off again in no time
simply because you are off the pace
or you could start off too fast, too keen and trip all over yourself
this is my fault i'm where i am because of this negativity
it sickens me its eating me up and has been for as long as i can remember
it is pervasive its there in my writing, its in everyday thoughts and utterances.
as inane as they are. must be positive they keep saying to me and they're right!

i have to start making oaths to myself and keeping them
