Every time I think of people riding their bike in the winter I think of the movie Better Off Dead when the paper boy goes off the cliff on his bike. And the movie While You Were Sleeping when the paper boy completely wipes out on his bike. Not saying that you are going to ride your bike off a snowy cliff, but if it snows again you could wipe out, either way it makes me laugh thinking about it. Hope everything is good for you.
according to modern marvels only 3 cities in the U.S. are aggressivly trying to get maglev trains, they are as follows:

Las Angelos
Las Vegas
not only is Las vegas one of the 3 but Las Vegas and Las Angelos want to connect to each other with one, so that what is a 4 hour trip would be like a half hour 45 min trip
Oh and the city of Delf in the Netherlands has for the last 3 years been running a mass transit system that runs off of completly automated buses. No drivers, no rails, no wires, just pure computer. They have only had one accedent in 3 years.
According to All state the united states alone has 6,307,200 car accedents a year, or one ever 5 seconds
