I have a really good dog but she suffers from separation anxiety as well so I feel your pain. She doesn't bark or wine but will scratch and chew my door to get in.

I too had a dog once with severe separation anxiety. As a lot of people on this thread have mentioned, crate training seemed to sooth his anxiety, but the only thing that really seemed to work like gangbusters were anti-anxiety meds. Especially with the large breeds (my dog was a 95 lb. german shepherd), they sure can cause a lot of havoc and destruction! So at least, don't beat up on yourself for feeling cr*ppy about all that's been goin' on!! 'K? You're a very good "dog mom" and are doing all the very best for these pups!

Do you enjoy Christmas? I love Christmas, its my favourite holiday.
What's your ideal way to spend Christmas? Christmas day itself I like it to be quiet maybe watch some movies and or see a friend. Leading up to christmas I like to go downtown and see all the decorations and I even enjoy walking through the mall and seeing all the people. And I am actually considering going to Christmas eve mass this year.

I just got back from my visit with my family in North Carolina. We exchanged gifts since we won't be seeing each other until probably February.
