This is a long rant about work... mostly so I can vent... if you don't want to read all of it suffice to say that work today sucked ass and it made me cry.
I called my mom in tears after I got off... it went something like this:
Mom- "So how did work go, you had to go to church with that client, right?"
Me- "If there is anything that could be discussed at church to make me never want to go back and make me feel completely offended... what would that be?!"
Mom- "Oh god... they preached about being gay."
Me- "Yeah pretty much."
I had to take my blind client to church (where he goes every Sunday and has for the past 30 or so years) where I was beyond offended for the duration of the 3 hours there!
1st When the church guy came to the house to pick us up (as I didn't know the way so he came to get us so I could see how to get there next time) I was insulted for my bumper stickers. Then a conversation of whether God approves of women in public office commenced in the 30 minute car ride to church.
2nd Once at church (a Baptist church, wtf did I do to deserve that?!?) I was subjected to a lovely sermon about "Marriage, God's Way" about the gays being an abomination and yes... the pastor actually said the whole "It was written as Adam and Eve and not Adam and Steve for a reason" spiel.
3rd After the service I had to socialize with these narrow-minded ignorant son's of bitches over coffee and donuts.
4th Then I had to go to "Bible Study" where the guy went on for a bit about how evolution is not God's Way and that the earth is only 4,000 years old.
Yeah... I am gonna fucking love this job!
Kill me now!!!!

Also... Thanks to all the wonderful ideas by Cosmo I will be replacing HathorAcptNoSubs with one of his other fine suggestions... I just haven't decided what one to use yet.

And yeah, I'm not really sure about the ocra. It definitely didn't wow me, but I don't hate it either. Like, I'll take a bite of it and just go, "Hmm."
As far as weekend gigs, I don't have anything lined up right now, but I'll for sure let you know when I get something!
