With SG's Birthday coming up soon, I saw a post that the visual homework for this week is to post our all-time favourite memory of SG. But how could I pick just ONE?!?!

Instead, I've decided to write a blog that's a highlight reel of my time here. As many of you probably know by now, I'm incredibly passionate about this site and this community. But like, VERY passionate. SG has been here for me through so many ups and downs, transitions and celebrations. No matter where I've found myself over the past 14 years, I knew this was always a place and community I could come back to.

This was always my home.

So much has changed over the years and it's made me so sad to see a once thriving community now seemingly winding down. Most of the girls I met here have left. Almost all the SG's in my country have outgrown this site. But I haven't. And, until the doors close for good, I will still be here. Shooting sets, making friends and creating memories.

ANYWAY.

I want to share with you all some of the incredible memories I've made over the course of my time here. For me, SG was never about the pictures, it's about the people. And I've met some of the best ones!!

I'll start off with the first SG dinner I attended when I was a fresh bright eyed bushy tailed Hopeful.

I got to meet REAL LIFE SUICIDEGIRLS!! It was like a dream come true!!

That's where I first met @tarion, @arq, @kohana, @skyla, @hadess, and @pyke. This was my introduction to the SG community and it really left a lasting impression. The warmth, support, kindness and love set the tone for my journey here. And I haven't been disappointed since!!

For my 21st Birthday, I threw a SuicideGirls Masquerade party and it was the best birthday ever!!!

There, I got to meet @brandyx @onyksi and @lalou. It was such a blast!!

After my birthday, I was whisked off to an SG weekend getaway where I spent the weekend bonding, shooting and having the best time with @tarion, @gitane, @arroia, @lumo, @kohana, @pyke and of course our amazing OG SG tog @talamia

I'm so sad I don't have any pictures from that weekend 😭😭😭

I also managed to convince my bestie at the time @autrum to apply and she became an SG too!!

I had so many fun adventures with @autrum

Some other notable memories are when I went on holiday to Cape Town and got to meet @lufae

That time I got to party with @popcorn in Thailand

And THE BEST SG MEMORY EVER!!!!!!! That time @radeo came to visit South Africa!!

I've made so many beautiful connections on and through this site. Being a SuicideGirl has been the opportunity of a lifetime and I will forever be grateful to the powers that govern for allowing me to be a part of this global community.

I love SG with all my heart and I wish it many many years of success to come.

My hope for the next year is to revive the SG community in my country and I'll hopefully be posting more blogs like this. Blogs filled not with photosets, but with priceless memories created through the connections I've formed through this site.
