I've been in his shoes before. I may have hated it at first, but I was really glad when a good friend of mine told me as bluntly as she could to get the fuck over her and proceeded to give a list of reasons why. haha

I hope he eventually realizes that it'll never be as he envisions (yet something better happens for him).

I bet if he finds another girl, she'll become uber jealous, ultra quick! She'll all the sudden want to spend the rest of her life with him. Which of course is just a ploy so she can try and stick him right back where he is now. Hopefully, he won't fall for it.

I've been that guy before. Looking back I now see how annoying all the whinging to friends would've been. It's a phase though, he'll get over it... probably (and hopefully) with someone else. She needs to be far more honest about the situation, she should just say she's not attracted to him, but she's probably worried about hurting his feelings, which will only hurt more the later she fesses up.
