Gah! Just posted this on Facies, but gonna post it here as well coz I'm riled up haha.

"Kinda over people posting pictures of animals in crisis (gulf of mexico oil spill, dog saves other dog, bird mourns it's mates death etc) and saying shit like "what a tragedy" or "look, animals have feelings too!" then going offline to eat their steak dinners. The real tragedy is the fickleness of humans."

This status update was brought about by an argument I had with some dimwits on a mutual friends status update about some sparrow that mourned the loss of it's mate.

I fucking hate fighting with omnivores. The extent of this particular group of peoples intelligence was saying shit like "ROFLMAO LOOK AT MY DISPLAY PIC, HOW IRONIC!" (Picture of a cow carcass) and "I wonder if animals feel this much guilt about the other animals they consume..." and the response "course not they are human thought processes,they just say yum or next!"

So because we are more intelligent than animals ... because we are more sentient ... that gives us a right to consume them?! You'd think our superior intellect and supreme grasp of emotional response would STOP us from doing it.

I hate humans.
