I do this about every Christmas, but because I am in a somber mood and can't get her out of my head, I will do it now, as I will not be around my comp next couple days much.
This girl, was a good friend.
she was going to come up and see me after new years, wouldn't of been more than friends, but we were getting close.
I called her on Christmas eve, around 1140pm. To wish her a merry christmas, and as she was sitting on the roof with her friends, so she could be closer to her mother who had passed, I still remember, I told her to be safe...
As they were getting down, her foot got tangled in a blanket. She fell and broke her neck/skull.
Sometime around 230am Christmas she died..
Her brother called me on the 26th to let me know. I was listening to Part I of Miranda That Ghost Just Isn't Holy Anymore by Mars Volta.
I seriously think back and mull over the irony of telling her to be safe..Of her wanting to be closer to her mother, only for her to die that night....I hope she is with her mother now..
Merry Christmas to you all...And please refrain from thinking I will have one. And cherish those around you. I have learned hard way in life. They can and will leave this life quickly.

On new years eve 2009 going into 2010.
A parent of a friend was getting ready to round up and drop all the kids at his place off at their own homes. when my best friend at the time decided,he'd rather walk home to cool off from a fight earlier that night. When he never came home hours later, everyone spent hours looking for him. His older brother found him new years morning frozen to death outside in the snow. They say it wasn't foul play even though he was found shirtless and had previously been wearing one of his prized ICP jerseys that was never found. and had no drugs or alcohol in his system.
The sudden lose is truly tragic. Especially on the holidays. My heart goes out to you.
