Stell and Ian came back from the end of the world (RAGNAROCK) alive and intact. What an awesome event, 2000 people in a field in central Ohio, fighting battles. They have games like capture the flag, historical battle reenactments, our Dugans stormed and sacked Rome! Seven days of battle camp. Even Narnia is there. The whole thing is called Dagorhir. Our nation is Eryndor. Our tribe? is Warband, and our little Northern clan is the frozen Dugans. We are renogade Vikings. My name is Oestreich. I am a traveling merchant.
The Fourth was a lot of fun, Boyne City has better and better fireworks every year. Impressive. We went to grandma's on the lake and shot some of our own too. A friend from the Toledo area said some idiots were shooting fireworks off their balcony in a apartment complex, caught the roof on fire, and 200!!! units burnt down. Insane.
I;ve been mountain biking a lot with Rudy this year, he is eight years old now, but can still handle a 10 - 15 mile run! He keeps up good through the woods trails. My favorite is called Dead Man's Hill, its a 200 foot drop from the plateau and goes down to the source of the Jordan River, just beautiful down there, like a temperate rain forest in the wet season. I love white cedar.
