My grandad passed away today, sitting in a chair looking out a window.
It's heart-breaking, and I have spent most of my time today fighting back the tears or just sobbing when telling my friends the news. I'm going back over to Australia this Sunday for the funeral and get back on the 1st December.
The funniest thing was, my mum told me that the day before he died, he complained that the surgeons didn't know what they were doing because all they did was cook fish and chips all day.
That will be one of my best memories of something he has said.
And even though I'm upset, I'm happy. He's finally home, resting and in peace.
