I have now been in the new place for an entire week. I am getting pretty settled but not settled at the same time. I love having my own space it just takes some getting used to. The puppy is awesome. I think he is getting used to me and knowing that this is his home. He gets along pretty wonderfully with the cat, which I am very grateful for. They keep each other company and play together, which helps me so much.

I am now striving for peace in my life. I have felt myself in turmoil for a long time now and I needed to get out of that. Sometimes things just don't work out how you thought they would or how you wanted them to. I am sad for the things I have lost and sad for what might have been, but I am happy for the future and taking my next step. I know there are some truly amazing things waiting for me and I so look forward to it. In so many ways.

It has been very warm here this weekend but I am bracing myself for more nastiness. We still have at least two more months of winter here and it will get pretty rough before it gets better. I am tired of the Midwest and the long and brutal Minnesota winters. I am ready to get away to something more suited to me. I will follow where my heart leads me.

I hope you are all doing well and surviving the winter as well. I know some of you have it much easier than others of us, but it can still get long. I can't wait until I can get out and rollerblade again. It helps me clear my head and makes me feel like myself. Something I am trying to get back to.
