Try a bit of overt flirting, by this I don't mean making a physical move, but making some statements that jokingly make it clear that you want more. I suggest this because I have temporarily put people in the 'friend zone' to feel them out for whether they are really interested or are trying to "bang the girl that's friends with all the guys in order to get respect" (which has happened to me). To me the friend zone has, more than once, been a place to feel a guy out to make sure that we both wanted the same thing. (the bonus is if you do it jokingly and you get a 'serious' speech, just laugh it off as a joke.)

obvious answer 2, go for one of her friends. not the best idea, but a good way to increase the drama between the two of you. a roommate would be ideal. (AAAAAGGGGhhhh!)

you also have to remember that maybe she's not good enough for you. i mean, you're the pooh. ya know? some chicks will never understand that.
i would say that seeing how well "obvious answer 2" went for meaney, you should steer clear of that advice. but i mean wait a minute, i am dating the roomate and we are madly in love and getting married some day. aww geez, i don't know. i do know that she is crazy if she doesn't see how awesome you are. when are you coming for a visit? i miss you.
