I'm just a supermarket till monkey and basically theyve decided that if you're on a break thats less an 1 hour long - youre not allowed to buy anything from the store or use the checkouts. So if you're only on a 15 minute break or even 30 minutes you have to make do with the shit in the canteen.

The real kicker is that this stupid policy doesnt really affect me. Infact it'll probably save me money, I'm just sick of getting grief from the people it does bother. This morning I got nothing but crap from the people who wanted to buy a newspaper to read on their breaks, until they found out they couldnt.

Normally i'd have just served them anyway, but everytime I did my supervisor would come over and start whinging. Like I say, 3 days tops before a group of people go into the office screaming about how retarded the whole thing is.
