My degree's in Fashion Retail Buying; buyers are the people who decide what will be in the clothes shops every season. I'm looking forward to the day I finish my degree and can get a job; the system over here doesn't favour single mothers who are trying to get an education.

Oh, I am SO happy you said Quebec City!!! I'm going there in June! I'll actually spend 2 nights in Montreal, 4 in Quebec City and then back to Montreal for one more night. I love taking pictures when I travel, and QC sounds so great for that!! If you have any tips, please let me know! Do you speak French? I'm a little nervous about not speaking more than a few words. I would like to find a "travel French" or "conversational French" class to take before I go, but no luck so far.
The book club was good, we ended up sitting around and gabbing (and eating) more than we actually discussed the book.

Bureaucracy is everywhere, unfortunately. I'd almost come to accept it, however they crossed a line this time: Stupid mistakes, I can handle and rectify for them (they just need help with their sums, bless 'em) but deliberate sabotage is something quite different and will provoke my worse nature.
The worst part was knowing poor Lourdes had such a difficult delivery since there was no movement to help her push the fucker out. Poor Lourdes!!! After she dropped the lone #2, she kept snuggling with me, she wanted so much attention and approval.

For a city of its size, Birmingham really hasn't got as good a night life, public transport system, or variety of shopping opportunities as you might expect.
