Man, I need to get my lazy ass back to Jiu-Jitsu...I know I do when I start looking at old highlight videos of myself....(see highlight video at bottom of post of interested.....)
For those of you who DON'T know...Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is the art used on the ground in modern day mixed martial arts and the UFC combined with wrestling, boxing and kickboxing. It's a grappling art where submission holds like armlocks, leg locks and chokes are used to make the opponent give up or "tap out" with their hand to signal surrender.
I've been doing BJJ since 1995 and recently got my Brown Belt about a year ago from my friend Brian McLaughlin who is a Pro Fighter.
I have done 33 tournaments and taken first in 4 of them and 2nd in 9.
All I fucking think about is BJJ, Metal Music, and girls...yeah...pretty much, throw in some beer and weed and awkward moments...now you know me...I'm Jamey and I'm an odd ball
Here is our video for our school Precision MMA and I can point out my highlights just to brag a bit haha:
Our whole team is on there (well not the WHOLE team), and my instructor Brian is the dude with the dirty blond hair who is in the center of the ring at the end.
Can't wait for tournament season which is this summer, I gotta work hard to make my weight class (SHOULD be 159lbs but will probably be 169lbs), gonna have to stop drinking for a while to make that possible......
In the following video at the bottom...I'm the short stocky brown haired dude with the black or blue rash guard (shirt thing) and blue striped shorts doing a lot of leg locks:
takedown at 15 secs, spinning upside down kneelock at 49 secs, spinning upside down toehold at 1:02 seconds, inside heel hook at 1:38, Rear Naked Choke at 1:51, triangle at 2:24, armlock at 3:30, armlock at 5:21, still shot taken by photographer of armlock at 6:39.
These are my friends and I, and we RULE!!
