II can only remember two times since I started working at the age of 18 that I had this day off to eat with family and friends. I'm going to let you know it sucks. Missing out on the smiles and the stories. But what sucks the most is the ppl that call out today forcing everyone else to work a full day just to get the work completed.
So remember if you are going into a store, ER or some place else. These ppl gave up time with family to serve you. So DONT BE A DICK.

Well said. I'm 33 and this is the first time since I was 18 that I haven't had to work at least half a shift on Thanksgiving. It does suck, you're right. Sorry to hear you have to work, that's a bummer. I hope the day goes by quickly and easily, though. Happy Thanksgiving. 💙
