I didn't get a moment of rest between the end of the hangover and the beginning of whatever I have now. Yeah, I'm sick again. Shocking, right? It's just another cold of one sort or another. 'Tis the season. But regardless of said sickness, I must say I feel like a million bucks... not that I would know what a million bucks feels like, and I doubt I ever will. But whatever, I feel excellent.

I love my job, I love my family, I love my friends. I feel fairly healthy (that is to say fit), and beautiful, and successful. A boy has crush on me, and the wooing is in full-force. A good friend who left the city has returned. My cellphone has been found. I've decided for sure that l won't be ready to go back to school in the fall, and that's a nice weight off my shoulders. I have money that I won't feel guilty spending, even on things like comics and fancy-shmancy party dresses. (I just bought one the other day, it's magnificent.) And it's a good thing I like chicken soup, because I've been eating a lot of it.

I don't know, there's nothing particularly splendiferous going on. But the simple pleasures have been adding up, and the world just feels like a not-so-scary place right now. The only thing that could make me happier is if I could share this feeling with all of you.
