I feel like we have a lot to prove. not only are we one of 3 burlesque troops in town (but we are the only one putting together a complete variety show), but we are an all plus size troop. I need people who are serious but who dont take themselves too seriously.
I get along wonderfully with everyone else in the troop (even spent thanksgiving with one of the girls) so I dont think I'm being too unreasonable. Thats my biggest fear...that I'm too demanding or expecting too much. Then I go back to thinking that its really my baby. Many of the girls have helped out a lot and have vowed to continue helping with the business side but all in all, its my business, my show, my MONEY that has gone into this.
She called me back this evening but I was at the movies...wish me luck
remember the beer oaths we made last night---moe gets a full sleeve, you go black, and I....umm, I dunno, I think I try to do it with a hot chick or something right?
I totally went all OCD and cleaned/re-organized my house
I realized I have lots of areas of clutter (ie my bookcases), mostly arranged there because of color, then about every 2 weeks I rearrange things (nick nacks and what nots) by color... I made more open space!
holy shit! featured article about 3 day novel in "Poet's & Writer's" magazine. not sure if it's at newsstands yet or if you can read the article online . . . (i haven't read it yet. been napping and drooling.)
We need to get together and share old Christmas Records. We have quite a few goodies Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! It was lovely to meet you, hope to run into you in LA again sometime Cheers!
Bob Barker loved my set. In fact, I have him on a leash right here next to my Xmas tree wearing nothing but a Santa cap and a ball gag. I thought he'd make a charming addition to my Xmas decor.
If you were a really hardcore hunter, you'd know where north is by looking at the sun or whichever side of the tree the moss is growing on. And you'd use every part of the buffalo.
tis the night before xmas! crazy. hope everything is going well with the fam.
j and i went to the movies earlier - _marie antoinette_ - amazing and worth it just for the clothing and set design. de-lish. got chines takeout like good jews, and then morphed back into xmas mode to watch "it's a wonderful life." weird, but fun, day. i love real movies on the big screen! $1.99 theater out here! yet another reason why the toothpicks will love new england.
"Patricia Chau is my new favorite enemy." it's a lame article (i subscribe!). has that freelancing-for-money aftertaste (not that we haven't all done it, or that there's anything wrong with it - but we can be respectful and not leave that particular aftertaste.)
