I was ordering the new release of Iron Maiden via Amazon when I clicked on the link to the band's YouTube channel.
I watched the promotional video and had a moment of nostalgia. I was taken to the year 1993 when I first saw a video of Iron Maiden. I remember I was in the garden when my father called me from the window shouting: Wagner, Iron Maiden is on tv (the TV show was called Raio Laser on Tv Network Manchete). I ran inside and sat on the couch. It was the clip Fear of the Dark, from the 1992 tour. That moment when the heart was beating so strong with emotion my passion for the band was consolidated.
For many fans today watch the clips, DVDs and everything else is a very common thing. But for a kid of the 1990s this was a finding for in those days there was no internet or dvd or bluray. It was a time of discovery. Miss those days.
