Wow, so much for updating on a regular basis.
I've been productive, which is always good, and things they are a-changin'. For the first time in my life, I am on a conscious diet. I feel like a total tool saying that, but it's true. I mean, I did lose like 70-something pounds when I started working out, but that didn't actual mean me putting down the cereal bowl or ( more likely ) beer bottle. For the next three months, I'm not allowed any beer whatsoever. While I know I'll bend that rule for my birthday, I'm dead set on it for every other day - beer fucked me up. Drinking all the time at Marist definitely helped me put on all the weight I lost in the beginning of the year when I wouldn't eat anything ( long story ). Add loafing around, eating really shitty food and smoking to that and you've got a recipe for disaster. Which is done and over with as of now.
Smokes are binned. I'm cutting back on sodium and caffeine. I actually hauled my mattress back into my room so I can sleep in a make-shift bed. It's not that I need more sleep; I need better sleep. I've been running for two weeks now and my back is SHOT. There is a constant ache resting right above my ass. Judging by past history, it's the lack of support in my futon/pile of clothes. So, mattress. Problem solved. And for the record, I can't down pain medication like I usually do for some reason Eric explained to me in detail that's been long since forgot. Probably something with the blood. Dunno.
The intertron tells me I need roughly 2700 calories a day to live. My treadmill time puts out 1100 calories burned per session, which is roughly every day. I've been pegging 6 miles at around 80-90 minutes. In alternating sprinting and jogging, I've been able to keep a pace of 4.5 mph. In a month, I want to be hitting 5.5 mph. If I can keep a daily goal of 90 minutes and do a respectable job, I'll be hitting my goal weight right around my birthday. That also means sticking to eating only 1900 calories a day. That number seems like a lot until I start looking at it from the point of view of also having to intake 120 grams of protein a day.
My goal? Being able to be a halfway decent middleweight boxer so I can lure people into the ring like Uwe Boll.
You're just jealous I thought of it first.
