My friend AJ put it best when I was wondering about why I automatically think everyones genuine. He said,

fuck. that's why you have to take EVERYTHING that people say on the internet with a grain of salt. People will say a million things to you online they'll never say to your face, or even on the phone. for some reason this screen gives people "the super powers" to be anything they wanna be, and "they" take full advantage of that....then you meet 'em, and WHAM...no fun. no fun at all. just pretention and pretend.

this is why I don't share too much of my life in my "journal". I write a few random things, and go to some of the people I've been talking to on here for a long time for advice (sometimes it is nice to have objective advice from someone not even remotely involved in the situation), but I wouldn't take heavy investment in anything said on here really.

or anything said on the internet. period.

that said, since the good ole web is a place where people say things they wouldn't say in person, that also means that people may be more open to ideas and more willing to share ideas than they would in person.

there's good and bad.
