Finally, a spring day. :)
Last night escalated pretty quickly, went out with some old friends (aged 30-60) for one of our "Old man real ale tours". Essentially a pub crawl for craft ales.
It started in Brewdog, which led to sampling their excellent Tokyo stout, at £13/330ml and 18%, it was complex, powerful and sat just the right side of overwhelming on the palette, it also fucked me up completely.
We moved on to other pubs, and ended up somewhere I've driven right past many times and not actually noticed. The Cornubia- things got surreal, when the landlord walked across the car park and into the pub, with a large african grey parrot chilling on his shoulder and stood at the bar for a pint. Amazingly friendly little place that I'll definitely be visiting again.
After that it was off to cheesy 80's club Reflex, where I dropped, smashed and danced on my phone before bailing out of a cab home.
After whats felt an eternity of wet, miserable weather, floods and wind damaging half of the country, the suns com out there's not a cloud in the sky and it's warm. :)
So nice to be relaxing in the garden with a good cigar (Montecristo #2, as the weathers staying good for long enough. :D) and watching the Rugby, rather than locking myself away in the house.
Anyways, back to the rugby. :D
