I got promoted to Manager of my department on Monday.
Still a bit overwhelmed by it all.
Now I'm reeling from these attacks in London. I'm glad my friends Cat and Darren and their flatmate Ruth are okay.
I have to try to focus on work and not imagine that kind of thing happening here, even though I've been imagining a terrorist attack on a CTA bus or an L train since 9/11.
