i petitioned for his permanent resident status and they're sending the papers asap. only scary thing is, i'm sponsoring him which means i have to sign a promissary note saying i will support him with cultural and monetary issues for 3-10 years. ah well. my money is his money and vice versa. but it will still be weird to see it in black and white.
