From the chaos theory / butterfly effect perspective, it may be that I prevented some cosmic catastrophe yesterday. Of course, given no additional information, it's equally likely that I caused one. So if the world ends in the next day or two, feel free to blame me.
Regarding your username and hair: good username, but hey... why spend money to have somebody else cut your hair? Just shave your head... you can do that yourself for a fraction of the cost. Plus there is a small but non-zero segment of the female population that considers it cool...
Regarding software: ditch your Windows installation and install Linux. Lots of good tools and software, and nobody cares whether you're enrolled in a CS class. Not that I'm biased or anything...
Wait, wait... don't shave your head. I forgot where you live. Around here, guys with no hair (such as me, usually) are considered more or less normal and accepted and everything. But I was in Dallas once (not too far from where you are, as you know better than I) and I don't think it's necessarily a place where head-shaving is culture-neutral... so... well... just... y'know... take care, and all that. And move someplace liberal! No offense to Dallas or anything, but still...
As for the random number script, I ended up not using it and did it the old fashioned way: pieces of paper in a plastic bag (not a hat, I was at work and had to improvise). I can't remember if I said that in my last entry
And as for the photo caption punctuation bug... I just worry that there's already a thread somewhere that would be a better place to ask. Like "Image Questions Go Here" or something. But meh, I can still make a new thread. I don't think people would bitch much.
