DAILY HOLDEN-O-METER: Holden. . .finished his laundry last night, forgetting to wash a shirt and a pair of socks, and went grocery shopping today, forgetting to buy his generic Crystal Lite mix. . .Doh! 
Holden will just have to try harder and do better next week. 
Well, Holden decided it was in his best interests to forgo math this semester and will register for some continuing ed classes instead, tacking on a couple of Spanish independent study courses. This way, he won't be a week behind and he'll be able to ease himself into college after being away for a few years. The selection of math classes has to be better next semester, anyway.
Holden felt a little groggy today. He only slept 8 hours. He almost ditched his cart at Meijer to drive home instead. But he decided to fight the sleepiness, finished shopping, and never took a nap. So, hopefully, he'll actually wake up during the morning hours tomorrow.
As usual, Holden took his four-mile exercise walk, despite the cold, overcast weather. So far, he has lost two pounds on his new diet and exercise regimen (only 28 pounds to go ).
