There's no arguing in that one, but it's one of his later films and easily not one of his best.
It's funny, but it's kinda dull.
Plus one of the cool things about Woody Allen is that he tries different types of movies (which sometimes works, sometimes not - in this case kinda not).
Stick with that list I gave you for guaranteed results. If you stray you might end up seeing some so so movies.
yeah. no idea on the tattoo. don't even recognize the poster dorwayin posted. but yay for happy tats.
checked out the website for that festival. i've heard of a few of the acts, but i don't really listen to any of them. i know Feist is okay. she's got a cute song: Mushaboom, but most of her stuff all sounds the same to me after awhile. so sorry i can't help you out! i've actually never been to a big music festival... well, i do regret that i've been to an X-fest one day kind of show. but that was a long time ago. a couple summers back, my fiance and i were supposed to work the last Phish festival up in VT. signed on and everything, but they had to cut the number of workers last minute. so my best friend and her boy got to go and it actually sounded pretty disappointing. lots of mud, rain, and sad folks. instead, my boy and i took a road trip up to NH and Maine. beautiful memories.
he'll probably get wrangled into seeing Tom with me this year. the concert got rained out after about eight songs last year anyway.
and, yes, i would still like to have you cook. we might actually make a few balanced meals between the two of us!
oh and i almost forgot - my favorite tree is anything that weeps. plus black walnuts because their leaves look like ferns. and flower... hmm... i can tell you my two least favorites: lilies because they stink and carnations because they're UGLY!
Hostel was okay...
nothing great.
For some reason, i thought it was going to be more scarey and more gorey.
perhaps i'm getting a bit immune from watching so many horror movies in my lifetime
but i think even "Hard Candy" made me more nervous...
go figure?
It rained over here...
i was home in bed all day.
called in sick.
just not feeling up to par.
hopefully tomm. will be better.
however... i did make a smoothie today
I slept pretty much the whole day
except to get up at one point and make a late lunch and call my mom.
i can't even be productive on a day off!
but i really felt crappy.
How are things with you?
Bullets over broadway is one of Allens funnier films...
I thought it was quite funny, also great ensemble cast
I like a handful of his movies, but i'm not one of his biggest fans.
However, i will have to agree with Afterbirth and say "Bullets.." is definately worth checking out.
well if that tattoo helps you stay forever young, that's a wonderful idea. my one and only tattoo is on my right foot and says: nevermore. a beautiful beautiful word from a sad and lovely poet.
well, that's a nice recipe and all, but it does require work... and we know how much i don't like to put work into my food. spoils it. maybe if i ever get a week's vacation and end up bored, i can see about preparing some soup. or maybe my fiance will be inspired. thanks for the thought, though!
i don't like geraniums... did i mention that? my mom always planted them when i was little and i didn't like the smell and thought they were ugly. i like dried roses - i have tons hanging around my apartment.
I am feeling a bit better..thanks!
this weekend i'm goin to watch "Love serenade"
too much torture in my movies this week..
time for some romantic comedy
Your guts were right..
It was "one flew over the cuckoos nest"
The spoke in the menstrual cycle comment was from "Heathers"...
and..
you have great taste in 80's bands.
what are your plans for the weekend?
I love Cirque du soleil!
tell me how the show is, i have only seen them twice... but they were unbelievable.
I wanted to see their show "O" when i was in vegas years back... but it was sold out..
for the entire week!
and yes...i am a big fan of Lene Lovich as well as Nina Hagen, do you remember when they sang together for PETA?
great duo those two!
How did Mike like "True Romance"?...
i'll have to ask him.
I think that film had such great dialogue, and excellent cast too.
So no relaxing sunday for you huh?
my weekend has been very dull so far, which is good as i'm a little sick with a cold and probably wouldn't be up for doing much if the oppurtunity presented itself
I wish you guys lived closer though... it was so great hanging out with you both and i already miss you guys!
and i've never listened to AOL radio, but seeing as i'm a big new wave geek, i should check it out.
just got done watching "Love serenade"
Very funny!
i love those quirky black comedies
can't believe how young Miranda Otto looks in this film!
D and I went on a picnic today.
The weather was great...
just wish i could kick this cold to the curb!
