i have a walk through scheduled on april 20. then it will be within a week. i got a speeding ticket once because a good song came on. i wasnt in a hurry to get anywhere it just pumped me up. the officer said ok and gave me the ticket anyway.
I've been reading some good stuff about "Brick", so let me know what you thought.
I'm glad you liked "Santa Sangre", it's such a strangely beautiful film, and yet horrific at the same time.
I love the ending though... how when Felix finally shakes the terrible visions brought on by his mental illness (with help from Alma)
everything from his past just disapears except for her... the only real friend he ever had, and she helps free him from the past.
believe it or not, Roger ebert was actually a big fan of this film.
That tour sounds excellent!
if i ever make it back out to Ca., that is something i would definately do.
sorry about the spelling errors, i'm a bit too lazy to go back and fix
The picture is of maple sap coming out of the tree. Once it's collected it needs to be filtered through cheesecloth or in my case a baby facecloth. Once this is done I put my sap into a teflon stirfry pan and boil it down until it's sweet syrup. The ratio of sap/syrup is about 10:1. The season is done now. I only tap one tree and it was a crap season so I only got about 3 pints of finished product.
The baby is due on Nov. 10th. It will be our third.
So "Brick" was good, but not as good as you thought it would be..
I am looking forward to seeing "Hard Candy"!
have you seen the previews yet?
Last night was fun, I got to meet some cool folks off this site and enjoy some excellent food. Of course i'm partial to dining at Coriander, but i have to say i think everyone else was pretty impressed by their meals and of course Dorians desserts
And in five more days... i'll be eating out with you.
at least i'm not allowed to smoke in restaurants anymore. and i won't wear any perfume either... are you allergic to a lot of perfumes and colognes?
oh man that tree house looks fun,
Transatlanticism , death cab for cutie, makes me sappy, and wheni hear it live i just flat out ball, everytime!!! but it also sooths me on take off on an airplane to calm my nerves.?
hey, thank you for leaving me a sweet comment on my set, much appreciated!!
I really liked "Audition", but in all fairness... i had been forewarned before seeing it.
And it made a big difference.
I found Takashi Miike's "Ichi the killer" a little bit more harsh (and yet a fascinating character study) and way more extreme in its violence.
At least in Audition... he kind of spared you until that ending.
And what a fucking ending that was huh?
gotta motor... talk soon
"Ichi the killer" is about as hardcore as i'll get...there are some films i've always been curious to see, but because i hear they are so disturbing or certain scenes practically border on fake snuff.
I was just reading up on one that Beatrice Dalle did with Vincent Gallo on IMDB ( i had seen it mentioned in the horror film group)
but i don't think i have the balls to see it ( i'll find out the title for you)
also, i won't see Irreversible because of two of the scenes i've seen discussed .
My stomach is just not as strong as it used to be.
"Cherish" is such a great film! I've seen it a handful of times, and always enjoy it.
I think the flirtation between her and the parole officer worked really well.
She kind of loosened him up a bit
I don't think i've seen that one... what's it about?
Yeah... for some reason, i handle over the top cartoon violence rather well.
But if its something overly realistic ( like war scenes in Saving private ryan or Joe Pesci getting his head beaten in with a baseball bat in Casino)
I tend to get a little queasy!
But certain horror films with cutthroat violence...and i'm fine
Also, i hate scenes where people are just in huge amounts of pain, so i suppose you're right... its really about the reality of what could happen as opposed to zombies chewing on peoples brains.
I would have fallen for him too!
that whole shy anal retentive thing would have done me in
I love how she puts that post it on his butt!
and when he gives her that radio...but makes sure to fuck it up a bit to make it look used
do you have freckles?
I'm a bit jealous... i always wished i had more of them.
Two of my favorite SG's are slathered in them.
but strangely enough, it's just their faces, not a glimpse of them on their bodies
Love your freckles!
so many people don't appreciate them enough!
I'm watching a documentary about new order...
do you like them at all?
and the ending of "Cherish" makes me a bit misty eyed.
only a bit though
no.. i have it on dvd...
i only had the chance to see them a couple times when i was younger.
But i told Dorian...
i must see them one more time before i die!
They are incredible!
