shellymc:
very lovely......
but where's your head? wink
Did Mike take that shot?
more please..... biggrin
shellymc:
My weekend was fairly relaxing.
but today i managed to get out of the house to meet a friend for a late lunch.
and then i bought some new sneakers for work...more like a shoe/sneaker hybrid.
I love the photo, i have never self shot a pic of myself...only cuz i don't know how!
But when D takes pics of me... i am usually only happy with a few out of forty or so.
Talk about vanity huh?
shellymc:
only part....but i can tell that the photo is great!
Which calendar is it in again?
I only ask, because i work at a vet hospital, and we have those pet calendars at the front desk biggrin
shellymc:
we had that calendar!
small world huh?
I work at the front desk, so sadly enough, i have to deal with all the crazy pet owners.
But some good days i get to see lots of puppies and kittens biggrin
Other days, a lot of euthanasias....
it's a stressful job.
I'd rather watch movies and sit on my ass all day.
But i cannot find a job that will pay me to be that lazy!
shellymc:
It's everybodys dream job!
but yeah...working at a vet hospital is indeed stress inducing.
It drives me to drink i tell ya! tongue
What do you do for work?
If i may be so nosey?
I'm off to bed soon.....but i am curious as to what you do for a living.
Talk soon! kiss
shellymc:
not lame at all!
especially since you get to work from home...
lucky!
have a good night!
talk soon.
surlymike:
I spent a good portion of my weekend with a woman who made food for me. I liked that. smile
feerlessfreddy:
how's it going? all i found out about the beatles show was that it will take place at the mirage in the old siegfried and roy theater. apparently the deals are made the theatre just needs to be reworked. in your last entry you asked about fav movies of the year. mine was sin city. even though i just watched it last weekend. take care, nice pic btw.
dorwayin:
umm, your not half naked til youe "half" naked. tongue
shellymc:
well, my memory is a bit hazy regarding "Ode to billy joe"
But i have a sneaking suspicion that its because he may have been grappling with...
shall we say...
being homosexual? eeek
Am i right?
i could be totally off base on this one, but its been years since i saw it!
and only see "Ice Castles" if you are in the mood for cheesy....
it has the stamp of approval from the epitome of cheesy committee tongue
surlymike:
So when is the requisite crotch shot coming?

Brody rules all.

surlymike:
You should hear my coughing on occasion. I sound like I should be in hospital. Ha!
shellymc:
I just outed myself in my journal of being the president of cheesy films!
I should start my own group.
So.... i guessed right! biggrin
I wasn't sure, but i had a hunch.
Robbie Benson should make a film comeback, one in which he is more than just a voice (like he was in "beauty and the beast")
and a comeback in which he doesn't whine or cry.
I have faith in the man.
I can't believe you haven't seen "Ice Castles"
but i bet if you heard that Melissa Manchester song, you'd recognize it instantly
feerlessfreddy:

Mike needs to catch up with the teen flicks!
I'm not sure if we could get to seattle as soon as the summer.
we owe some money for taxes and i'm not sure if we are doing a payment plan yet.
I've never been to seattle.
I've also never been to Oregon, another place i always wanted to visit.
I absolutely adore John Cusack.... i got to meet him briefly in new york and he was really nice.
"Say anything" is such a great movie!
Perhaps D and I could make it out there later in the year when we are a little bit less in debt.
I sometimes walk around my work saying this film quote.... i have a feeling you will know it

"Two dollars.... i want my two dollars.." biggrin
surlymike:
Should I be worried that I actually enjoy the theme song to Tic Tac Dough?
shellymc:
John Hughes should win some type of award for all the fun teen films he made....and for introducing the world to Molly Ringwald love
as dated as they may be, i never tire of watching those films.
I even have a few of those soundtracks as well....but they are on tape or vinyl tongue
Did you like the movie "Valley girl"?
I had a big crush on Deborah Foreman as well. How about "Real genius"? not exactly a teen comedy ( well college teen moreso than highschool teen) but its still a great comedy.
Eventually i will make it out to seattle, i just dont see it happening in the summer... but i'd rather stay at a hotel, as i'm weird about crashing at peoples houses....i'm strange like that, feel like i'm invading personal space.
I don't mind people staying with us, but in all honesty our apt is really small and we don't have an extra bedroom.
Wendy stayed here for a night in december and in january..... poor D took the couch. But lucky me got to share a bed with her. tongue
I was a perfect gentleman though!
shellymc:
I'm watchin "Clerks" and trying to will myself to go to bed as i have to get up in six hours.
But yeah...."Real genius" is such a great film!
The first movie that Val Kilmer made such an impression on me... i love that scene he has with deborah foreman.
The line about him hammering a nail through a board with his penis biggrin
i do appreciate the invite to stay at your place or Mike's, but i would feel invasive.
and definitely appreciate the fact that you don't expect me to be such a gentleman wink
One of my other favorite Val Kilmer films is "Thunderheart".... i love this movie!
Should try to go to bed soon..... have a good night!
