I don't want to ring my own bell but check out my band "Perpetual End". I'd like to know what you think?
phaseish:
I prevail, The new atreyu single is good, BMTH new album will probably be  good. The I see stars remix album is great. This genre is kind of dying though.
creamcuffs:
I really like this band called Hidden Hospitals as far as an up and comer.  I also love St. Vincent.  And yours truly has a Batman mashup that I will be posting on SG this Saturday.  So by all means, check out my jams :)
hex:
@captainfurious hey! checked it out, lovely album artwork, not my preferred style music, but sounds awesome!! @phaseish BMTH is coming out with a new new album? always been a fan, was Oli's #1 fan lol my dad got his autograph for me hahaha. ugh, could be. I just don't want to leave it, i grew up with it. My boyfriend likes Let Live a lot. @creamcuffs interesting suggestions, thanks!! :) and will do
phaseish:
BOYFRIEND hahah letlive <3 is okay
electriceye22:
I know what you mean.  I used to have about 10 bands I would buy every album without listening to any previews or anything no matter what.  Now thats down to 2-3 maybe 5 tops.  If you are into instrumental metal I would highly recommend Animals as Leaders and early Cloudkicker.  Animals as Leaders can get a bit "proggy". Baroness, Kylesa, and Isis (the band not the terrorist group) are great sludgy/stoner metal.  Intronaut do some good "jazzy" stoner metal.
electriceye22:
oh and if you have never listened to the Distillers check them out. Brody Dalle is my favorite female musician and a badass.
electriceye22:
Another suggestion Refused.  Particularly the album the Shape of Punk to Come.  Hands down the best hardcore album ever put out.
hex:
@electriceye22 thank you, will check out :D
shaun_zeee:

user2470270074:
Born of osiris, black tongue, suicide silence, upon a burning body. I can only help you with the heavier stuff haha
hex:
@craigian super interesting, thanks! :) @shark_ haha i already know all of those but thanks, i found a new babe! ;)
keepitmetal:
Respect to @shark_ because UABB is good. If you are looking for Djent-ier/prog-ier stuff then the new Periphery stuff is ballin' as well as I, The Breather and Structures/Volumes. For Metalcore I would go with Crown The Empire or Like Vultures. For Hardcore, Stick To Your Guns new album is awesome and so is Hand Of Mercy. Basically any band from Australia is good. For rock/Post-Hardcore I would go with I The Mighty, Dream On Dreamer. or Pvris. All great bands, There are more, like @callmedjent said, Fear and Wonder is cool. Good call on his part!
hex:
@keepitmetal all of the bands @shark_ mentioned i've also seen haha. but mmmm no, i've had an experience with UABB and they are dicks. I know mostly all the bands you mentioned too, you're right Aussies make good music! lol, thanks i'll check some of the ones i never took the time to actually listen to. My old favorite band is Chelsea Grin, I actually made a cover a few years ago but none of you are seeing >:D mwahaha
keepitmetal:
That's funny you mention that about UABB, because that's the general consensus of everyone who use to know them. I'm from Austin, TX which is close to where they started out. My younger sister use to go watch them play free shows in like parks and garages and shit, and they were pretty chill. Then after they got signed all the sudden they thought they were like metal gods and started shitting on everybody that use to support them. It's pretty lame. And I'm actually working on putting some covers out myself. Music is the best! But if you like Metalcore, apparently there's a pretty good scene up in the Pacific Northwest. Who knew?? So def check out Like Vultures and Above The Broken, from Oregon. I'm a big fan of those guys. Keep it Metal my friend!! \m/
krandol92:
I live in Vancouver, WA which is about a 10 minute drive from Portland, OR. The Metalcore scene fantastic! Above The Broken is really good. You should also check out We Rise The Tides and Simon Says Die :)
smashbase:
Idk if you'll be into it or not, but check out Off With Their Heads.
