You wouldn't believe how many papers and file folders I have to sort through here. About 99% can be thrown away, and the other 1% I really need. Similar to your situation, but without the money, unfortunately. I started on this Herculean task a few weeks ago but I haven't made much progress since then. Maybe if I spent one hour per week for the next, oh, year or so....
