@headshot In multiple ways, light clothings, hats caps, sunblockers are a must. Many man and women use sun umbrellas. But there are more sophisticated things, passive cooling collars, mini electrical fans, acive cooling collars with fans blowing from below (huh sounds kinda .... :) ). I use a special cool towel with micro bumps, it does not stick and a small bliss of wind cools it down. And there are those helpful beverage automats on every corner.... you learn quickly to value cold green unsweetened japanese tea!
@ZWEITESICH I like the serious approach of the Japanese to the heat. And I like iced tea. As far as I know, punctuality and the desire to work hard and even overwork are very much appreciated there. In such circumstances, nothing is an excuse.
@headshot yes the trains are running here on time and when you pass some buildings at 10pm some teams are still at work in their offices. But Karoushi are no longer so common like in the past. Sometimes people say that we Germans are similar but not completely, our trains are seldom on time and many of my colleagues dont want to do overwork..... maybe I am too old fashioned :(
