Wow! What a wonderful blog post! My wife's mother is a criminal and may just well be a sociopath. Luckily for my wife, she met me and my mother warmed up to her right away. She calls my mother "Mom" and the two of them were really close. (My mother passed back in 2013). So when we're where we used to live, it's actually my wife who makes us to go her grave and we both talk about life to her. We'll be in your neck of the woods in December. Hitting both Australia and New Zealand. Neither of us are looking forward to the flight though. That's a long ass flight. And Colorado is awesome! Love that state.
@romanastral that's so good your wife had your mother to consider her real mom. Families can be very tricky sometimes hey. The flight IS brutal, but you'll love coming down here, AU & NZ are amazing places you'll never want to leave. If you're anywhere near Auckland on the North Island, go to the Coromandel Penninsula. There is 'hot water beach' with thermal hot springs right under the sand. You hire a shovel and dig a hole having your own natural hot tub with the waves of the sea there to cool it down. Magical!
