Ohhh 3 blogs in 3 days. I really must stop avoiding work (this may become a common feature of the next 2 1/2 months.
I was sitting in Su Ken library with my friends with my iPhone listening to some music and I realised I need to spread some love. This love does not have flesh nor bones, but it's certainly eye-opening and a great little tool. The love I'm referring to is 8tracks.com which is a fantastic music website, far better than spottily if you ask me. So what makes it cool? Well it's great for finding new music. In fact it's the best thing I've come across for it. Wat you do is you sign up and then you search for playlists. The playlists are user uploaded and are generally themed (e.g. Relaxation, dance, party, gym etc.). The playlist will tell you a few of the artists on the set list but not all and there is two rules- you can't have the same artist more than twice in a playlist and you can only sip 2 songs per hour. This means you are almost guaranteed to listen to a new band with every playlist. Fantastic eh? Thanks to this website I've learnt about musicians like - Oh Land, Imogen Heap, Black Spiders, The Answer and more
There's an app for iPhone as well, so you can listen any unlimited, ad free music as you (presuming you've got connection) and you can of course spread the love my creating your own playlists.
Here's a link to a playlist I made years back, http://8tracks.com/hantheman/music-to-make-you-think
