I'm sure that when I get online and blog my face off, it's pretty real. In fact, sometimes it's a little too real. I tell more to the faceless read of my blog than I do anyone else in my life. Strange how that works out.
I hope not, I don't want people throwing apples at me. And thank you very much, sweetheart
I was reading Tariq Ali (bleugh, for uni) today and he was talking about JPS' anti-Vietnam speeches... hot. I can't go on enough about how much I love that guy. I want to like Merleau-Ponty more but he's just not so... literary. Or luscious. Hope it's all going well!
Ya know, I was thinking about Nietzsche but I didn't want to mention him in case you weren't a fan I DEFINITELY am - I got into him through Foucault, and really adore so much of his work.
Hannah Arendt rocks my socks for interdisciplinarity, though... Between Past and Future is probably one of my favourite books. Especially in the preface where she goes through the Kafka parable... swoony. xxx
Aw, thank you! I wouldn't say I'm so far along the education stakes really - given that I'm increasingly restless with the whole system... who knows what I'll end up doing. Besides, I only ever took three philosophy subjects!
That's my feeling too... I just don't have the energy to interrogate anymore. I want to reflect, not destroy, for maybe a little while. But still read the same books
How's it going, sweetie? Hope you're holding up well under all of it... I'm seriously over writing right now myself.
Oooh, and was SO close to buying a repackaged JPS interview book yesterday... but I bought repackaged Nietzsche instead Ah, booklust is awesome though. xxx
