Something I learned about looking for jobs. After you fill out an application/ send a resume. Give it a week and call them on a Wednesday or Thursday ( trust me those are the best days to call) and ask (if you know there ARE looking for help) "What's the status of my application/ the position." It's ok to call them, it shows that you are persistant and very interested. At least by doing that you'll get somewhat more of an anwser sooner. If you are going through a "temp" service the more places you register the better.
